Judi is a partner and chief impact officer for CivicMakers, a firm that focuses on innovation and engagement. Judi teaches about management with a sustainability focus, and is also vice president of the non-profit Out for Sustainability. She started her work because she worked with female entrepreneurs in Kenya who were trying to make a living. She discovered that what they needed more than anything was sustainable supplies and energy sources. Her work is important to her because, “I often felt like the sort of queer alien in the sustainability space, or the sustainability alien in the queer space.” Raising awareness and involvement in environmental activism and sustainability is important to her.
