Gerod is a senior strategist for the company Valtech since 2015. He is also the founder and board president of the Nonprofit Out for Sustainability which involves the LGBTQ community with environmental action. The non-profit hosts a Fab Planet Summit, which is a conference that brings in some top environmental groups like the NRDC, EPA, and Heal the Bay. They talked about discrimination, marginalized communities, and intersectionality. He has a vison for a ‘fabulous’ planet, and is an environmental activist. He is very centered on quality of life, and talks about how he lives that feels luxurious and is good for the planet: he sees environmental priorities as a way to live more pleasurably; its not really about sacrifice. For example, not having a car allows him to take short walks everyday, and the time outside increases his quality of life.
